Chambered in 5.56 NATO, the PLR16 is an excellent option for small game hunting, hiking, turning heads at range day or any situation that requires a rifle caliber in a pistol platform. It accepts standard AR-15 magazines. Take it hunting, mountain climbing, camping, back country exploring or whatever you can throw at it. The PLR16 is light, but can handle it. Although it has a stout, smooth and reliable gas system, this pistol stows nicely in a pack and comes with a flush-fit 10 round lead dispenser. Or, you can run any AR-15 compatible magazines. Although KelTec does not recommend suppressing the PLR16, it features a 9″ barrel that is threaded 1/2×28 to accommodate your choice of compensator or flash hider.
