How to Ship Firearms to Faith First Firearms
Do not conceal or mislabel firearms.
All shipments must follow federal law and carrier rules. Attempting to misrepresent the contents of a package may violate federal law and result in the firearm being refused or returned.
✅ Proper shipping checklist:
Ship directly from the sending FFL to us using ONLY Faith First as the business name and FFL address (provided upon request).
The sending FFL must comply with ATF and carrier regulations.
Provide us with the tracking number immediately after shipment.
Do not ship from a private individual using a noncompliant carrier.
Once received, we’ll:
Confirm receipt and inspection
Contact the buyer to pickup and complete paperwork
Appointments Required for Pickup
We handle transfers by appointment only to ensure privacy, compliance, and dedicated service.
During your pickup appointment, you will:
- Pay applicable transfer fees
- Present a valid government-issued photo ID
- Complete ATF Form 4473 on-site
- Pass a background check before firearm release
No firearm will be released without a successful NICS background check and all paperwork completed.
Note: Transfer fees are non-refundable regardless of the background check outcome.

Background Checks — Our Policy
Faith First Firearms always runs a background check on every transfer to a non-FFL, without exception.
This is required under federal law.
What you need to know:
The check is conducted through the NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) or the applicable Texas DPS portal.
You will complete ATF Form 4473 in our presence.
We submit your information electronically and receive a “Proceed,” “Delayed,” or “Denied.”
If Denied, the firearm cannot be transferred.
If Delayed, we must wait for an official response; we follow all ATF rules regarding delay periods.
We will not release a firearm without an official “Proceed” or after an unresolved delay.
Understanding ATF Form 4473
Form 4473 is the federally required document used for all firearm transfers from an FFL to an individual.
It includes:
Personal information (name, address, DOB)
Citizenship & eligibility questions
Buyer’s signature certifying truthful answers
⚠️ Falsifying information on Form 4473 is a federal offense (18 U.S.C. §922(a)(6)).
Texas Age & ID Requirements
You must meet both federal and Texas state age requirements to receive a firearm:
Handguns: 21 years or older
Long guns (rifles & shotguns): 18 years or older
You must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
The address must match your current residence. If you’ve recently moved, bring proof of residence (e.g., utility bill or lease).
